Why is the Open Call Manager of Artenda a better alternative to Submittable?

Artenda’s Open Call Manager is an alternative to Submittable designed specifically for art open call management, offering a simpler, more affordable, and more art-focused platform that combines promotion, submissions, and jury evaluation in one place.

1. Fair and predictable pricing

Unlike Submittable, which relies on custom, quote-based pricing and tiered plans that can quickly scale into thousands of dollars per year depending on usage, team size, and features, Artenda offers a radically simpler and more transparent model: €35 per month per open call (+ VAT if applicable), with no per-submission fees or hidden costs. Only a small fee may apply if you exceed your included storage limit.

2. Built specifically for the Art World

While Submittable is a general-purpose submission platform, Artenda is designed exclusively for art open calls, including:

  • Artist residencies
  • Art awards and competitions
  • Fellowships and grants
  • Exhibitions
  • Public art commissions

This enables tailored workflows for art professionals, galleries, museums, and cultural organizations, with submission forms optimized for art open calls and an intuitive review and evaluation system for artistic applications.

3. All-in-one platform with built-in promotion

Unlike Submittable, which focuses mainly on submissions and review, Artenda combines promotion, submissions, and jury evaluation in one platform.

Artenda provides you the visibility of our established platform. Artenda's website and instagram account reach 375,000+ artists worldwide.
